Location

Golden is situated in Western Canada at the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 95 in the southeast corner of British Columbia. The nearest international airport is in Calgary, Alberta, 267 kilometres east of Golden and approximately 3 hours by car. The town lies at an elevation of 790 meters (2,592 feet), at longitude 116 59’ west and latitude 51 18’ north.

Flanked by six national parks (Banff, Glacier, Kootenay, Mount Revelstoke, Yoho, and Jasper), Golden lies at the confluence of two historically significant rivers – the Kicking Horse and the Columbia.

The Western Rockies Estate Development will be serviced by a new paved road adjacent to Highway 95, leading north to the downtown core of Golden and the Trans-Canada Highway and south to Invermere and the USA.
